Individual Therapy

Dr. Lin offers individual therapy for adults. Clients seek therapy services for a variety of reasons, including processing past traumas, learning stress coping skills, address their insomnia, managing their depression or anxiety symptoms, processing current world events, and so on. Therapy can also be helpful for adjusting to changes in life or planned life transitions. It can also be for learning how to cope with a difficult life situation. Therapy with Dr. Lin will be more “active”, as we will be discussing and practicing skills, with practice assignments between sessions to further the client’s progress in therapy. Often assessment measures will be provided for clients to assess and keep track of client symptoms as an ongoing part of therapy.

Dr. Lin will work with the client’s background information and goals for therapy to assess for what treatments will best suit the client’s needs. The client can also provide feedback throughout the therapy process as to how the therapy skills are helping them towards their goals for therapy.
